The Moonlight LED recreates natural moonlight in the terrarium and is ideal for observing crepuscular and nocturnal animals.

In nature, the night is never completely dark and moonlight is part of the habitat of many reptiles and amphibians. The Moonlight LED produces a blueish shimmering light with a wavelength of 450 nm. Blue light is particularly suitable for observation at night because in darkness the human eye is most sensitive in the blue to blue-green range. Even a little light is therefore enough to see the animals.

The Moonlight LED consumes only about 3 W and emits hardly any heat. This preserves the reduction in temperature at night, which is important for many reptiles.

Note: Use the moonlight specifically for observation and do not leave it on all night, ideally controlled by a timer. Your animals should have a real dark phase every night.

Hint:
We recommend using a lampshade for operation in tropical terraria (i.e. the HOBBY Clamp Lamp) so that no drops of water can get inside the spotlight.
